The Herald of Faith – Ed: Joseph Mattsson-Boze

The Herald of Faith – Ed: Joseph Mattsson-Boze

33,00

Joseph D. Mattsson-Boze, was a widely respected Swedish Pentecostal pastor who was invited to pastor Chicago’s leading Scandinavian Pentecostal church in 1933.

In the late 40’s he was involved in the early Healing Movement and was a long-time friend of
William Branham.

His magazine, the ‘Herald of Faith,’ already well-established since 1933, became another voice for the growing healing ministry and was amongst the most loyal to Branham’s ministry, printing many of his sermons and reporting his meetings.

Mattsson-Boze’s real heart was for missionary work, where he spent most of his time in organized
programs building training centre’s for native evangelists and holding crusades in such countries as Honduras, India, Kenya, Singapore, Spain, Thailand and Yugoslavia. The magazine reported the ministry of many evangelists especially T. L. Osborn’s overseas ministry.

Mattsson-Boze moved with the times more than most healing evangelists and was able to transition from old-style Pentecostalism to the more contemporary neo-Pentecostal movement.

He joined his magazine with Gerald Derstine’s ‘Harvest Time’ in July 1970. Derstine was a rising light in the new charismatic movement and in August 1971 the magazine’s name was changed again to ‘Logos Journal’ under the editorship of Don Malachuk.
